Setsuko Koaze

I like painting very much. I have been painting since I was 4 years old. After growing and overcoming much suffering and difficulties in my past, now I have found that my faith and painting as my life's work were the only means which led me to my present happiness.

The Unicorn is another image of myself as a symbol. It's also like the sun in my life, which is shinning and sharing its brilliant light with not only my but also others. The picture with the name of "Unicorn�J is a representative work of mine.

I have presided over Studio ULULU for 25 years in Japan and for 12 years in Australia. I'm teaching the fundamentals of painting which I learnt in Japan. I wish to help students to develop their imagination and feelings. I welcome everyone, from children to adults to come and join me in enjoying lessons.
