Lauren Berkowitz Born in Melbourne in 1965, Lauren Berkowitz studied sculpture at the Victoria College of the Arts, Melbourne, and later received a Masters in Fine Arts (Sculpture) at the School of Visual Arts, New York. Since 1985 she has shown in eleven solo exhibitions and over 30 group exhibitions in Australia and New York. She has received several awards and scholarships, and is represented in major collections which include the Museum of Modern Art at Heide, ICI Contemporary Art Collection, Jewish Museum of Australia, Bendigo Art Gallery, La Trobe University Collection. Her work has been collected by many centres in the USA.
