Emil Goh

Emil Goh is an artist & independent curator born in Malaysia and educated at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney and Goldsmiths College, University of London. His videos & photographs have been shown in Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Amsterdam, London, Hamburg & Vienna and has been co-artist in residence at the Hayward Gallery & agnes b. (London) Hong Kong University and the Chinese Arts Centre (Manchester). Based in Sydney, he has curated international video exhibitions at the Asia Australia Arts Centre (gallery4a), the Art Gallery of New South Wales and most recently the Public Programs Video Screenings for the 2002 Biennale of Sydney. He has also written for THE FACE, Good Weekend, Post West & LIKE magazines.

His works often involve the everyday details of urban life and he made a series of video and photographic pieces documenting various subtleties that he came across during his time in Tokyo in 2002.
