Elizabeth
Presa
Elizabeth Presa
is the Academic Coordinator of the Centre For Ideas at the Victorian College of
the Arts. She is a graduate of the VCA School of Art and holds a BA (Hons) in
Art History from the University of Melbourne, a Masters degree in Critical Theory
and a PhD from Monash University.
Elizabeth Presa is a sculptor and installation
artist who has exhibited in Australia, Asia and the United States. In 2002 she
was artist-in-residence at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, and the recipient
of the Power Institute scholarship for a six-month residency at Cite International
des Arts, Paris.
In January 2004 Editions Galilee, Paris will present
an exhibition of her new work focusing on recent texts by the philosophers Jacques
Derrida and Jean-Luc Nancy.
